Information Communication Technology is an integral part of learning at St Brigid's.
We currently have just over one hundred computers, in a main computer lab used to teach students of all year levels a variety of software packages, a mini computer lab in our Resource Centre used for research purposes, 2 classroom computers in each classroom used for teacher and student work and a variety of other computers used for numerous other educational purposed throughout the school. All computers within the school have an "always on" Internet connection.
A bank of Apple computers has the multimedia capability to allow students to create music, movies and digital images to demonstrate their learning across the curriculum.
Complementing the computers at the school are several multimedia tools such as data projectors, digital cameras, digital video cameras and Apple Macintosh computers used for video editing. These tools create a fun, interactive learning environment for students.
Looking into the future, we intend to increase the amount of technology used daily, as well as endeavoring to find even more effective ways of using technology as a teaching tool throughout the school.
